Why don't I post positive things about the pope's travels??

I was asked this question twice today in reaction to a recent post concerning the disgraceful disrespect of the Spanish Queen Sofia and an older post about that ridiculous woman in England by the name of Queen Elizabeth. It's a fair question, and deserves a fair answer.

1. I barely have enough time to keep up with the modern jet-setting popes, let alone post my thoughts regarding all their travels and speeches. Pope Benedict XVI says a lot of interesting things and what he says is important and worth reading on line. You just won't find it here. Other bloggers do a much better job in this regard (especially over at Rorate Coeli). Please refer to the sidebar for interesting posts about the pope's travels.

2. When the pope offers the Traditional Latin Mass on one of these trips, believe me, I will post all kinds of gushingly positive things.

3. An astute person would notice that the two negative posts really are only mediately connected to the Holy Father and his travels. Rather, both negative posts are really about the respective queens.

To flesh out this third point: The comparison between these worldly monarchs and the pope is an important object lesson. Modernism and liberalism have stripped monarchs of all their authority, and in the wake of this defeat, the monarchs, themselves, have abrogated their God given responsibilities and duties. That is exactly what the Devil wants for the other monarch in these pictures. These two queens are the very poster children of what Satan wants the papacy to become: ineffectual, ignored, frivolous, arrogant, pretentious, disgraceful, and, most importantly, completely irrelevant.
