Catholic Church Conservation has posted a communiqué from the General House of the SSPX. Apparently Bishop Williamson has gotten himself, according to the SSPX, a neo-Nazi lawyer. He has been asked to withdraw his decision to be represented by the unnamed lawyer, or be kicked out of the SSPX.The expulsion of Bishop Williamson would probably remove a huge obstacle to canonical recognition, especially if he continues to act in such an imprudent, and rather irrational, manner.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why Bishop Fellay needs to overcome his problem with Bishop Williamson. After casually watching the antics of Bishop Williamson over the years, it seems to me that Bishop Williamson needs to overcome HIS problems with the Bishop Fellay and the rest of the Catholic world.
